I dragged my boyfriend to a yarn store for the first time last week. He was absolutely the sweetest—didn’t complain, or even seem to mind at all. (Plus, we also went to his comic book store because I didn’t want to be That Girlfriend.) I tried to explain the difference between yarn weights to him. It was cute. While we were there, I came across Flicker by Berroco (Rav link).It’s SO SOFT, I couldn’t even believe it. The strand itself is actually a crocheted chain, and it’s primarily baby alpaca. Plus, sparkles! I held it and sputtered “but…I don’t…it’s so damn soft!!” and the clerk said “yeah, I’m pretty sure that stuff is made of clouds.” It’s the sort of yarn that just BEGS to be a cowl or scarflette, because it needs to be as close to your skin as possible.
